1.       Choose an organisation that you are familiar with (one where you work, have worked, or have access too).

2.       Choose at least one leader from within that organisation.

3.       A very brief description of the organisation and the challenges it faces in the current business environment

4.       Critically assess the link between the leader’s behaviour (e.g. transformational, ethical, emotional, situational) and the organisations culture.

5.       Provide an academic assessment of the prevailing culture within the organisation, highlighting the impact on the leaders and followers.

6.       Critically assess how these impacts the organisations business performance.

7.       Conclusion.

If you have no experience to draw from you may use an organisation in the public domain that you would be able to research and use as a case study. However, you cannot choose an organisation from the following list:

Assessment Criteria

Evidence of a well-structured analysis clearly related to the question.

Evidence of wider reading, drawing upon appropriate material to support, illustrate and develop the analysis that is being put forward.

Ability to reflect critically upon the issues raised by the question.

Quality and depth of analysis, evidence and examples presented.

Critical Evaluation Criteria:

All debate should be based upon evidence from reliable, credible, and authentic sources, both academic and contemporary.

Concepts should be evaluated from a few perspectives, offering debate which captures key critical arguments.

Debates should focus on and build upon key arguments, models, processes, or frameworks covered on the module as specific to the lecture and workshop materials.

This assessment meets MIP Learning Outcomes 3 & 4.

5. Be an appropriate presentation/format/grammar/fully referenced and cited within the work.
